I purchased this book because I found out that Nelson Valjean was a distant cousin of mine through family research and I was very curious about his writing style and also about his relationship with Steinbeck. The book was wonderful and one I would recommend. I learned more about John Steinbeck and also about a wonderful distant cousin that I had. I am proud of his work and would recommend it.
