Jinx

My daughter was done with this book in one day. As a Meg Cabot fan, she loved it.

great light read

I quite enjoyed this book. I wouldn't call it suspenseful but it was still a fun read. The main character was slightly awkward but still likable, not irritating or hapless. Though the book talks a good deal about magic and witchcraft, there is not so much that I would consider it to be a part of the fantasy genre. Most of the conflict is between person to person rather than person to supernatural. It was a nice balance and entertaining.

A really good book. Extremely well written. Jinx is a very likeable character, someone that we can all relate to, at least on some level. Of course the fact that she's completely blind to the obvious will have you yelling at the book. Pretty much if you like anything else by Meg Cabot, you'll like this. It's written in her stlye; it has the same humor and charm of all her other books. The only complaint I have is that it's ridiculously short. I recived it in the mail this afternoon, and I've already finished it. It's also a bit predictable, but in the best kind of way. I'm sensing a sequel.... Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

Jinx

This is one of Meg Cabot's best, in my opinion. It may be about witchcraft, but it wasn't overdone to unbelieveable extents. I enjoyed reading about Jinx and how she learned from her experiences. I guess I can call it a way lighter, fluffier version of The Craft. Plus, even though it happened to be about witches, I could actually relate really well to what was going on.
