A unique experience.

I will not argue about what the best song or album by Jimi Hendrix is. However, it is inconceivable that you found this review without at least hearing some of his music. For the record, my two favorite pieces are "Purple Haze" and “All Along The Watchtower." The reason is probably more for nostalgia, as I grew up with Jimi Hendrix in the Vietnam era. You may have noticed that many of these songs have been marked as (Previously Unreleased Alternate Recording). Again, this does not endorse or distract from being pure Hendrix. What this does is give you the feeling that you are there listening to him instead of some slick filtered version. The reason for the title of this review is that no matter how much Jimi Hendrix you have collected, there is always one more album out there. I prefer the original albums, but if I were to start today, this would be a pretty good introduction. So why not hit the ground running and begin with this in your collection?
