Great biography for young adventure lovers

I have several Discovery Biographies for my kids. They love the mountain man/cowboy/indian/adventure type stories. My six year-old likes these because they are factual yet in a story format. My 3 year-old seemed to follow along some too since there are a few pictures scattered throughout. We've also read Jim Bridger and Crazy Horse. We haven't read any other biographies about Beckwourth, so I can't verify the information.
