Beautifully illustrated, this is the perfect read aloud for parents and children. From acclaimed author and illustrator Hans Wilhelm comes a charming picture book for children. Beautifully illustrated... This description may be from another edition of this product.
The first thing that got my attention about "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" was the bright, yellow cover. The second thing that made me notice it was the title, as I thought it was a wonderful name for a children's picture book. Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam, written and illustrated by award-winning author and illustrator, Hans Wilhelm, is a delightful picture book for children, with beautiful, sunny illustrations and a short text. The text itself is a shortened version of the children's hymn, I'll Be a Sunbeam, which was written by Nellie Talbot. If your little ones already know the words to the song, they will delight in seeing the lyrics come to life through the actions of a little, fluffy duck. What I like: I liked the whole book, especially the artwork. The illustrations are sure to capture your little one's attention. What I dislike: Nothing. Overall Rating: Excellent. Age Appeal: 2-4. Colorful and sweet. Illustrated with words to song 'Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam' popular in 50's-60's with beautiful pictures. Adorable for preschoolers.
My Kids Love This Book

My kids love this book. They ask me to read it a lot. I even take to church to read to my 2 & 3 year olds. They all love it. I like the fact that it is about Jesus and shows the kids how Jesus wants them to be. It is a wonderful book.
Quite good, but doesn't give credit where due

The illustrations are remarkable in this book. However, no where is it mentioned that it's based off the children's song. It is even misleading to make one think the words belong to the author.
