Different

This is one of many recent books that tell the amazing story of the survival of the church in China - not "somehow", but "triumphantly"! It differs from others I have read in that it spends a greater proportion of space dealing with doctrinal and theological issues in China's churches today. The book appears more favorably disposed t'ward China's "official" churches than others I have read. The author seems to value them equally with the impressive "underground" and house church movement. This troubles me.
