Brilliant as Usual

With Fr. Cantalamessa, Preacher of the Papal Household, we are once again led deeply into the mystery of the eternal. His brilliant review of representative thinkers of each age, up to the present, and of how they understood Christ, is worth the price of the book itself. But in addition to that, we understand much better, after reading the Patristic doctor's work, how the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Father and the Son, guided the Church gradually to a full understanding of who the Son is. It is not easy reading, but is well worth the effort.
