I Can Almost See The Movie Already

I can't say this book is a masterpiece, but I can bet it will soon be made into a movie. It has everything a Hollywood blockbuster needs. It has the sexy anchorwoman, rugged FBI agent who doesn't always play by the rules, and ,of course, the extremely intelligent mad man bent on mass destruction. Not turning this book into a blockbuster movie would be a crime.

All too true to life

I am starting my third round with Jeremiah: Terrorist Prophet, and am both fascinated and freightened by the portrait Michael A. Smith has painted. We can simply look to the East to see how valid is the concept of a globally oriented, self-appointed prophet bent upon terror and destruction. In addition to the timeliness (and timelessness) of topic, I have developed a fine appreciation of Smith's style; which I find rather classical in nature. How generous of him to presume that we will know what the big words mean. And, unlike some 'epic' novel authors who feel compelled to describe both sides of every blade of grass in the environment, Smith has left something to the reader's own imagination. I suspect I appreciate that element of freedom because I am a child of the era of reading and radio. When left to develop my own imagery, I feel a real part of the action! My thanks for hours of great reading. I understand that there is more to come. Soon, I hope.

I can't wait for the movie!

A great book. Gives you the action, the thrills, and makes you think about the world's social values. I couldn't put it down...it's a must for hollywood!

Exciting thriller...insight into media's role in society

This book was definitely one that couldn't be put down. At first read, it is an exciting thriller with classic action. Then, it takes a different turn, bringing the audience through a disturbing scenario where the media becomes a vehicle for personal agendas of revenge and social justice. ENJOY!

Wil eventually give Clancy a run for his money

Jeremiah, a new charismatic terrorist, has entered the American scene by killing a pedophile as the suspect leaves the court. Jeremiah quickly generates a large international backing and plenty of support from the American public as he starts killing criminal elements, who he believes are destroying society. He uses a TV reporter, Laura Delaney, to bring his message to the masses. The FBI assigns Steve Wallace to apprehend Jeremiah. Jeremiah's acts of terrorism dramatically increase, leaving thousands dead with his mass executions and his continual raising of the ante. Though some Americans condemn his use of force, many condone his actions. As Steve and Laura start to fall in love with each other, they both know that somehow Jeremiah must be stopped before they can see where their relationship takes them. JEREMIAH, TERRORIST PROPHET is a pretty good thriller that seems to just miss the mark. With the exception of Jeremiah (at least for the first half of the novel), none of the characters seem genuine. The lack of believability, especially in the second half of the book, takes credibility away from a good story line. In his debut novel, Michael A. Smith shows plenty of promise. HarrietKlausner
