Polly Jo Canfield lives and writes in the sunny state of California, and is the proud owner of two turtles, Mert, and Little T, and a hazel-eyed Labrador named Katie. She and her husband love to travel, and on one trip through the Alps, Polly is sure to have met the real Santa Claus

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and attended Concordia University for her master's degree. Polly's professional career involved the designing of medical, commercial and residential projects, owning her own business, and she was a nursing instructor. She enjoys singing, painting, acting in community theater and missions work.
