Great book.

I am taking a class that pretty much required us to know java. It was in a sequence of classes that I am taking for my major, and I assumed that with no programming knowledge, I would be fine. I was wrong. I desperately needed some help getting the basics of the java syntax down, and this book was extremely helpful. Its short enough to get through extremely quickly, while letting you test everything yourself with examples for every section. Great if you want to learn the basics quickly. Also amazingly cheap.
