The Easiest Way to Learn Java Applets.

I've been in continous search for books and tutorials with regards to java applet programming for the web and found them all quite difficult to understand. Until I stumbled with this one book and started reading it... and man that was easy! This book is very organized complete w/ visual examples and brief but straight-to-the-point explanations which makes it fun to read and never get bored.

Good book to start - very easy reading

The best thing I like about this book is its easy-reading. This is good for people who are using other languages and want to learn java, and don't have time/patience to go through a very serious text book. Good for working people. I won't recommend it if you are going for certification or if you want to do very serious stuff. You can read it like a novel. Good place to start.

Excellent for Java newbies

I have a C++ background and was looking for a good Java reference. This book is it. Very easy reading - the authors don't baby you, but they take the time to explain everything very well, and they keep the pace pretty brisk too. The explanations are concise and there is tons of example code to illustrate all the points. And everything from primitives to swing to multithreading is covered. I wish more programming books were written like this...not to mention the price. Easily the best value for your dollar.

I had little inhibitions at the time of buying this book. But I am Very much happy with my decision.This is one of the best books for Beginers,its coverage for classes, methods, constructs is Amazing.Even beginner with no prior knowledge about c,c++ will find learning JAVA a simple task. The contributions(Extractions) of works of various authors is very precise and accurate.Even the advanced topics of JAVA are covered very well especially JAVA BEANS.
