Sometimes, the most ordinary boy can have the most extraordinary things happen to him. Jason Vale is your average 8th grade boy, who is too smart for his own good and always being picked on. During a trip to his favorite bookstore, Jason is given the wrong book, a book that also happens to be completely empty. The next day, Jason finds writing in the book, writing that is speaking directly to him. He must find who or what is writing to him, and find out why the book came into his possession. He finds out that there is more to life...and death than he ever knew.Jason is aided by his best friend Faith. She is a strong willed young lady who happens to be the most popular girl in their class. They are aided by Faith's grandfather, who holds strong to his Native American roots and his shamanistic ways. Together, they embark on an adventure to find out the secrets of the Ghost Journal. Along the way they will find that those who pass on, live on, and a struggle for souls being waged by the forces of Vatis' that must be stopped.
