Jason Curtis Slater lived a life of extremes. From busting out of incarceration as a teenager, to partying with Prince and recording Ronnie James Dio, Jason experienced all that life had to offer in his 49 years.

As a musician, Jason was the original bassist and a founding member of Third Eye Blind. He later formed the experimental hard rock project Snake River Conspiracy with Eric Valentine (producer of Third Eye Blind, Queens of the Stone Age, Smash Mouth, Slash), and scored a major label record deal for Brougham, a hip-hop group he created with rapper Luke Sick. Jason produced albums for a variety of alternative rock and metal bands in the early-2000s, leading to a decade of work as the producer and primary songwriter of progressive heavy metal icons Queensrÿche.
