Book Overview

James Dobrev was a prosperous author. He lived all of his life in Chicago. One night, he stopped working on his novel and went to the closest liquor store. When he got to the store, something unpleasant happened. Since then, James' life became a nightmare. He was accidently involved in a murder. The target was a Russian man who had been kidnapped from Moscow. The police detectives couldn't understand how the Russian man looked the same as he did sixty years ago. The police sent James to Bulgaria for witness protection. His trip to Bulgaria was bizarre. James realized that some people were watching him. Just as things seemed to be going okay, James received shocking news. His mother disappeared. He had to fly back to Chicago. A few weeks later, one of the most brutal firefights in the history of Illinois occurred.
