James and the Honey Moon

James, aged 9, has a vivid imagination, which can magically become reality. Follow James' as he and his sisters, Ellen and Becca, embark on an adventure to stop the Honey Moon vanishing forever from the night sky.

Notes for Parents and Carers: While the Honey Moon is a fictional place, James and the Honey Moon could quite easy be set on our own planet, Earth. As your child will have realised when reading, or being read, this book, if it had not have been for James and his sisters, the honey that formed the Honey Moon would have all been used up by Geoffrey, the Honey Muncher. The planet, itself, would have ceased to exist and Queen Bee and the Honey Bees, as well as Geoffrey himself, would have had to find a new place to live. Geoffrey did not, however, realise the damage he was unintentionally causing to his planet. Like Geoffrey, many of us do not realise the damage we are unintentionally causing to the Earth. We can all do our bit, no matter how young or old and rich or poor we are. Whether we are an individual or a business, we can each ensure that we look after our planet and not only use its minerals, treasures and components in a sustainable way, but are as green when disposing of our waste. If we each do our bit, then together we can make a big difference and, as Geoffrey discovered, we can not only ensure that our planet is a beautiful place for us all to live on, but that it remains a beautiful place for our children, grandchildren and future generations to also enjoy.In writing James and the Honey Moon, I hope that this story will play its part in helping young children to appreciate that our planet is precious and, like Geoffrey, they can also make a difference..
