Jamaican Ska: The Don Drummond Story is a biopic of the Jamaican trombonist, composer, musician extraordinaire in the 1960s as he gigs around Kingston with the Skatalites. He falls in love with Anita 'Maraguerita' Mahfood, a Jamaican rhumba dancer of Lebanese descent, who is fighting to get her two children back from British Honduras where they were taken by her violent boxer ex-husband in the middle of their divorce. Don has a mental health challenge and Marguerita helps him to cope until tragedy befalls them.
