For the most part, life has been uneventful for Charles Whiler, until the puzzling events of one stormy morning change everything. After pulling to the side of the road in a heavy rainstorm on his way back home from a weekend trip. Charles dozes off. He intended to take a short nap, but wakes up nearly five hours later. To his surprise, an attractive women named Carmaleta Jones sits in the back seat of his car. Carmaleta, soaking wet and covered in blood, had no memory of what happened to her. Beyond their strange meeting, Charles and Carmaleta have seemingly no connection-until dead bodies began turning up. Corpses are found with parts of their anatomy relocated.
