In a ancient world of China, a evil emperor controls a empire. What he says is the way that people must live. Then a young girl named Jade runs away from home no longer able to live in this world of rules. As she runs away, she meets friends and discovers something that she never thought was possible. There is a hidden world of dragons, that are the source of all magic on Earth. And legend says that they will be one day some one who can speak to one. Jade finds out that the legend is speaking of her. But it doesn't come with consequences. She's taken prisoner by the emperor, and then is freed by a witch who says she can set things right if Jade can retrieve a magical dagger. And Jade agrees to it.
