CO. How about outerspace?

This is one of the best books I've read in years! I seldom give books a review, but when I read this one, I thought, this is a neat book that makes you look in the mirror. People that are looking for a history book might be disappointed. But readers that read for entertainment and a good story will enjoy this book. It captured all my emotions and gave me a vivid picture of the action in the book. I'm gald I didn't read some of the repetative reviews listed before I read this book. Five stars for Mangum, his logic and reasoning are great. I think any morally minded preson would find value in this book. Our kids need more of this type of literature!

High Morals Great for Women

I was suprised after reading the several reviews, by seemingly the same reader. It got my curiosity up! I read Jacob's Blood and found it uplifting. It is a quick read. It was timeless and dealt with many family issues that people deal with today, just in a different setting. The book has all different types of characters with different value systems, much of what we face today. I am glad that I thought for myself, as this book encourged young Ben Brady to do. I found the book fascinating! I don't read Historical Fiction to find Historical truth, I read it to be entertained by what might have been. This book did it for me. Great Book!

Jacob's Blood

Jacob's Blood provided a very enjoyable look back into the post Civil War time. There are many novels about the war itself but very few that open the windows of the past and give us an opportunity to view the real life practices of people of that era in a fun and exciting way. This is a must read book with a just for fun purpose and an "I cann't wait until the sequel" desire.

Love, Honor and Family

When reading Jacob's Blood, I felt all the emotionals of each character. The author did a wonderful job of bringing me straight into the story. Even though this book took place in the Civil War, we as families still go through all the emotionals the Brady family went through. This story will keep you on the edge, never wanting to be the book down.This book also shows how love can get you through all the hard times, to be able to enjoy the good times. How such different backgrounds of people can cross to become friends. Stand up for what you believe in and stand by your family.

Great Moral Principles

I loved this book! It was funny, scary, sad, and almost real. The characters are easy to love and understand, and some are easy to hate. But the moral values and principles that are approached in this book will make your heart swell and create in you a closeness and love for famly and God. How about a sequel, Brad Mangum?
