The Jackson Stone Chronicles follows attorney Jackson Stone who seems to always find trouble in each case that he works. A highly paid playboy, Stone is not only a woman magnet, but a trouble magnet as well. In the first part of the book Stone is sleeping with his boss's wife and things get complicated when his boss is accused of murder. The great Worthington Blake wants no one but Jackson to handle his case, now Jackson is stuck between a rock and a hard place. As Jackson tries to hide the affair and looks deeper into his boss's case, he realizes that his boss is being framed and that someone close to them both may be behind it.
In the second part of the book a year later, Jackson is up to his old tricks and sleeping with someone else's wife. Things get complicated when the woman's husband hires Jackson's firm to help him buy a sport team and Jackson is ordered to lead the case. When he looks deeper into the couple's past, he finds out secrets about the two and realizes that they will kill to keep some of these secrets from coming to light.
