This story happens in the early 1800s in Europe. If anyone knew how to instill fear into anyone, that would be Jack. He was not like many regular boys in spite of how poor his family was. With the mysterious loss of his father and brother, that did not stop him from being a little unruly sometimes. His village was a tight-knit one, where everyone knew who you were and what transpired in your home. Jack's disappearance brought everyone in the village closer together. He set out one day on a mission for his mother but didn't follow through with her instructions. This was going to be the beginning of a very long day for Jack. Not only was he lost but never returned home. What happened to him next was what he feared most.
