I love the book

I think I will double check the fine print one page has nothing but black miss print in the page , I will not buy used again in future with that subject, anyway the book is written nice and easy to read.

great devotional Bible

This Bible has daily devotions which are both Biblical and applicable to life today. It is my favorite Bible and I enjoyed it so much that I bought one for each of my children.

Great Version

I am a NIV user at church, but this is the book I keep at my beside. It reads like a novel, and has great devotionals. I have used them for group discussions.

Few and far between...

Leaving the bulk of how the word speaks to you in the Lord's hands, this Bible is still the most reader-friendly and practical resource I have found in a long time. The daily devotional entries are sensitive, encouraging and hit home everytime with relevance. I am still thankful for finding it at such a bargain. SGHB

Rewarding

It was always daunting to try to read the King James version of the Bible; archaic language, measurements to which modern readers cannot relate, and a general feeling of failure when an average person attempts to read it. I know I was frequently confused and unsure at what I had read! Not so with the New Living Translation, which reads very well, yet retains all of the meaning of the original translations. Footnotes are liberally scattered in cases of translation ambiguity - and gives alternate possibility. It is nicely bound (hardcover) and the type is sized right for visibility. What's nice about this Bible is that each day has a different theme, which allows you to read a short example, story, or anecdote as it relates to specific Scripture. Since I just bought this in August, I didn't start with January 1. Reading the Bible no longer has to be a daunting task, with trying to figure out the "begat"s and the "thine"s and attempting to figure out a "cubit". It's a pleasure to read and makes one want to keep reading!
