Get ready to sing your way through class with this fun songbook all about school. Each page contains color illustrations that add even more appeal to an already charming collection. This book is sure to fill any musical occasion with giggles because these songs are about smelly lunchboxes, the prettiest girl in school, messy lockers, and the day the teacher was sent to detention.
Some of the poems in this silly school-based sing-along book are funny. Sung to the tunes of some of childrens more popular songs like "My Bonnie", "Do Your Ears Hang Low", "Clementine" and "I've Been Working On The Railroad", the kids will be in stitches over phrases like "Do you get marked down when you're acting like a clown?" and "I've been burping in the classroom since I ate my lunch. We had beefy, cheesy tacos, and I gobbled down a bunch." Parents might be put off by the antics depicted from these students and teachers. The pictures suggest that not much (if any) learning is going on. It is a light-hearted analogy of school at it's worst. The parent and teacher in me wanted to give this book a 3, but the inner child is me couldn't help but give this a 5 rating.
