The book traces my role as caregiver to my twenty-four-old, daughter during her battle with cancer. At times, it is humorous; yet, at times it is dark. The purpose of this book is twofold: to give hope and strength to those who watch from the sidelines and do everything they can to ease pain and suffering of their patient. Secondly, it speaks to the importance of medical and hospital personnel, who are too often poorly treated by patients and family. Recently proclaimed as a "must-read for anyone who has a family member or close friend battling cancer--which is the life of many of our students," by the superintendent of a 33,000-student school district.
