It's Okay Not to Fly is a children's book about overcoming one's prejudices.

The little mouse believes he needs to become a bird because he wants to fly. So, he goes to meet some birds and asks if they could help him become a bird. Soon, he find out while these birds have some amazing skills, none of them can actually fly! He also learns that you do not have to be a bird to fly.

The birds he meets include a cassowary, an ostrich, a penguin, and a kiwi, which are all flightless birds, but a bird nonetheless. What matters in life more than what you are is what you actually do.
