It's Christmas Day is a poem about a child who has to spend christmas in hospital because of a cancer emergency. A fever during chemotherapy will often require a 48hr inpatient protocol. For it to happen on Christmas is a nightmare for a family. Set in a lonely hospital room which becomes crowded with family, volunteers and staff. People who give their time to make Christmas special for children who have little choice but to be in hospital. It's Christmas Day brings a story of hope, love and joy to a hard situation.
