great book, great service

Came as described. Such a great book - fabulouse photos, easy to understand recipes.

Fantastic

My family is from Genoa, and I have been looking for a good Italian cookbook for a very long time. This book is absolutely fantastic. Very traditional dishes, and a good range of foods. Though I would like to get some more from Genoa, this book is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who loves cooking. Being an Italian, that is all I cook, and this book adds a great deal to what I am already accustomed to cooking. I know several dishes past down in the family, but this book really extends that. Great instructions for those who are not necessarily in tune with cooking.

The only book that is not lying when it says "The Only Italian Cook Book You Will Ever Need!"

I bought this book while in Italy on a study abroad in Milan. On two seperate instances while in Italy, I made one of the recipes and also bought a pre-made version of the same dish. The flavor and texture profiles of the bought and homemade versions were exactly the same. I have never, ever had that happen in the States. When I brought the book home, I was pretty much the envy of my friends. I have since bought two more copies - one to replace my war torn version and another to give to a friend with cancer who declared it the absolute best gift he got while going through chemo. Pretty much if you eat anything in Italy, this cookbook will have a recipe for it. You must try the tiramisu recipe. Incredibly simple but absolutely amazing. My one caution is that only the weight measurements are really accurate - which makes sense since that is what is used in Italy. Trust me, it is well worth spending $20 to get a kitchen scale to go along with this book.
