Perhaps the best in this series

Having read all the books in this series, I have say that they are a very mixed lot! Some( most) are not worth the effort but this one stands out as a possible keeper. (That’s a high bar here). Not a particularly novel storyline but the characters are well drawn, the narrative stylish and the dialogue frequently very entertaining. If you are picking one book from this series, choose this one.
