The Greek word Tetelestai, which is the last thing Jesus' said before dying on the cross, translates to "It Is Finished" in English. Tetelestai originates from the verb teleo, meaning "to Complete, to bring to an End, to Accomplish." The word is essential because it signifies the successful end to a specific event.
