I received my book very quickly, in fact, more quickly than I had imagined. My daughter was at our house a couple of days after I got the book and she saw it right away, stacked at the top of our Texas books. She thought that it was a library book and asked if she could check it out when I was finished. Much to her delight, she found out that it was a family copy. So, she took it and is reading it now along with corraling our two grandchildren. She does say that it is an excellent book. She likes the idea that it is broken up into small small chapters so that you don't get lost or bored. Our ggggtandfather was one of the settlers of Texas and fought with Sam Houston at San Jacinto. His name, Gerrit E. Boom, is on the list of honor at the memorial. So, anytime we can read anything about Texas, we jump at the chance.
