An Absurd Tale About a Man Who Loses His Head

From the flap - A day in Pinsk, like a day in any other city, begins properly with breakfast. But on this unusual morning, a shoe salesman Irv Irving settles down to his meal only to discover that he is missing something vitally important: his head. Irv's wife Irma, a practacial woman, fashions a makeshift head out of old socks and a pillowcase and thus equipped, Irv roams the city in search of his most prized posession. Wonderful story and great illustrations

An exceedingly wonderful and twisted way to explore identity

Arthur Yorinks is a spare writer with the gift of hitting the comic and serious simultaneously and with deadly accuracy. This book sings its humor and moves along with the pace of a keystone kop two reeler. And the picture of a man with no head trying to eat a bagel alone is worth the entire price of this prince of children's books. Read it and don't laugh. I dare you
