An invitation for Joyce Thomasson to join her daughter's family at Surfside beach for a week came right on time. She had been praying for an opportunity to leave town, to get away from life as she knew it for a while. The burden of trying to be everything to everybody had taken a toll on her mentally, physically as well as financially. Stress had consumed her and the weight of it had come crashing down. Once arriving at the beach house, she looked for a quiet place she could claim for her own. Her bedroom had a door leading out to the 2nd floor deck. Joyce opened the door and that was when she knew that this week would be exactly what she needed. She didn't realize it at that moment but she would make a new friend on this deck. She would also be given a gift each day, by another, that could change her life if she would put the gifts to use.
