The management of public spaces is complex, especially for new municipalities undergoing rapid development. This complexity stems from the interaction of numerous stakeholders-indeed, all urban stakeholders-at the level of these spaces. This study focuses on analyzing the ways in which public space-particularly public roads-is occupied and managed in the municipalities of Ouakam and Mermoz Sacr -Coeur. On the one hand, it aims to characterize the occupants in order to understand the dynamics of space occupation. On the other hand, the administrative procedures related to road management are examined. This study is based on qualitative and quantitative data collected using distinct data collection tools.
