A shepherd in Scotland

This is a very fascinating book about a shepherd that takes place in Scotland in the 50s-60s. Before reading this one, I had already read a book about a shepherd's life in Scotland, so I thought that this one would be a blue copy of the previous one. To my pleasure I found this one to be very entertaining. He shows his routines in a book that never becomes dull, and it is interesting to read about sheep dogs, breething of sheep, and methods used. If I should place the book, it could something not far away from James Heriott, however it describes the wild life, as well as his work in the fields with his dogs. Alas, the place where he once lived was, as we read, later replaced by a dam, so the book represents a sad farewell to his way of living, and a time never to come back again. This is a book worth to be read!
