The book is a collection of case studies I have written for several topics. The idea struck in my mind when I started to work on the "Functions of Managers" from Islamic perspective. I have published different books for each of the functions and then combined them in "Managerial thoughts of the Prophet (ﷺ) in 2018. Thus, cases were available for planning, organising, leading, and controlling. Similarly, a book about the "Transformation Strategy of the Prophet (ﷺ)" appeared in 2020 and another book about "Project Management: An Islamic Perspective" published in 2021. Both have accompanied with case studies. Since it is difficult to access these books for everyone, yet this volume is in your hand for taking benefit of Islamic case studies.
There are seven chapters in the book. The first of them introduces the topic with Islamic perspective. The following four chapters deal with the case studies about managerial functions. The case study of Hijrah of the Prophet (ﷺ) was the subject of my article "Planning in the Islamic Tradition: The Case of Hijrah Expedition (2009)" which I had modified for the purpose of my book about "Planning Strategy of the Prophet (ﷺ)", published in 2018. However, I have "refurbished" it for my book "Project Management: An Islamic Perspective". Therefore, it is the subject of chapter two and six. Chapters three to five accommodate rest of the managerial functions. The concluding chapter discusses the case about transformation strategy of the Prophet (ﷺ).
