Not the last word on Islam, but an excellent book

This book is rather small in size, but what it makes up for in size is compactness and succinctness in subject matter. Many of the major obstacles to ever really knowing peace within the belief system known as Islam are delineated here. It is not a totally thorough examination of Islam or its history, as a larger book would have, but if one wants a quick read about it from a former Muslim who has to disguise his authorship with a pseudonym, this is probably as good as it gets. The author goes over the major points that are a stumbling block to Muslims when faced with a religion they detest, such as Christianity. The reasons for this are stated, not that they haven't been in other books, but this one compiles all the major fallacious views that Muslims have about Christianity in a short space. For a good reference book to thumb through to refresh yourself on the misunderstandings and thinking of Muslims toward Christianity, this one is good. Since the author comes from the Nigerian area, there is a short chapter addressing the conflict in Nigeria between the Christians and Muslims and a short comment to the Muslims and then a short comment to the Christians. Even though these are short letters written from the author's perspective, it shows up the deep chasm between the way the two religious groups think - Christians intimidated by the agression of Muslims and tending to want to ignore their command to witness to everyone, and the Muslims' denial of their own sins while attempting to convert "by the edge of the sword". Also, the last chapter on the differences between the American Black Muslims in the form of Louis Farrakhan and their brethren overseas is an addition that I believe needs to be added to many other books on the subject.

a must read

With the events in the world today, this book is a real eye opener...an insight into why the events in the middle east are taking place. It is really a "must read" for those that want to learn the "Truth". Thank you M. Ali for putting so much valuable information in a condensed book.

spectacular

interested internet book buyers, this book is most excellent. I have read some brief information on this topic before, but never I have I encountered such a well thought and example proving book on Islam. I highly recommend it for Christians in tough Campuses across the world who deal with the issues. This book is a fact uncoverer to the curious.

Welcome to some unknown truth

This is an excellent book for truth seekers, young scholars and those who can be objective! I thought the author made some great points using hostorical data and Islamic scholars. I have spoken to a Muslim that agrees with 90% of what I shared with them from the book. Be objective and read it for yourself. n
