Islam in Modern World

By: Yaro (Khalifa) Dsc Msc, Abubakar

Islam is a religion of peace and the most misunderstood. The western media always attempt to associate Islam with terrorism, backwardness, etc. It is no doubt that humanity is now in a state of confusion and human beings are running without direction. Western philosophers have some skeptic view of Islam. Most of this Western Philosophers depict Islam as violent religion that is against humanity. Spreading misinformation about Islam is a hidden agenda and you still find educated individuals spreading this misinformation agenda. The saddest thing is the world is now in an era of knowledge as predicted by the greatest human being to grace this world (SAW) when he said "a period would come when knowledge would be readily available". At the time the Prophet (SAW) made that prediction, there was no computer. In addition, Muslims are disunited than ever although now there are now calls for Muslims to disregard our ideological differences and become united. Islam in Modern World provides an up-to-date review on Islam in this modern world. Consisting of eight must read topics, the book discusses some essential topics for both Muslims and non-Muslims. Topics discussed includes Islam: religion of knowledge, disunited Ummah, Ethics and Morality in the Quran.
