Terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda and the Boko Haram have paved the way for an outbreak of advanced terrorist groups like ISIS and ISIL, which has harnessed the power of technology and the influence of multiple social media platforms. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and even Youtube has morphed into a vessel that excretes propaganda to recruit new members, inciting fear and remaining relevant. Since the appearance of ISIS and ISIL in the early 2000's the terrorist group has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks on schools, malls and even residential areas causing detrimental rips in national security and preventatives measures used by government agencies. By compartmentalizing the different failed institutions within Iraq, Iran, and Syria the appearance of international sanctions alongside international intervention, a failing oil industry, child soldiers and individuals were joining ISIL and ISIS as a means of living can be illustrated.
