This book is designed to provide the reader with a comprehensive overview of instructional design principles and terminology. I do not intend to do an in-depth analysis of all the various aspect of instructional systems design. Instead I wanted to simply provide the reader with an introduction to all the basic fundamentals of learning development. I believe this will allow the reader to identify the areas where they feel more comprehensive knowledge in needed and serve as a starting point for further investigation. So this book is intended more as an initial teaching tool that will also serve as an excellent handy reference guide when needed. It is my belief that every new or inexperienced instructional systems designer should have a copy of this book at their desk for future reference.
