Terrific Book for Kids and Their Parents

The story is really clever. A little girl learns from her friend, a bird, how her birthday party could contribute to waste thereby harming animals in her neighborhood. She and her parents figure out ways to make her party fun and festive with little waste and without hurting the animals, water, and land. The message is fun and positive and explains why avoiding plastic where possible is best. There's a fun activity to make out of paper in the back, too.
