I loved this book as a kid

I haven't read this book recently, and I'm sure if I did I would probably agree with the terrible review above. But the basic thing that's missing from that review is, would a kid enjoy the book? and would it make them want to read? Having read Is There Life After Sixth Grade? in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades I can tell you that the answer to both questions is yes. Though I can't say it ever provided me with any profound insights, I remember loving this book so much that I read it until the pages started to tear. I always thought the book was relatable, meaningful and hilarious. And when you're reviewing a kid's book, I guess that's all that matters - what did the kid think?
