Can love conquer all or are there certain things that are impossible to overcome even with the deepest love?

When Crystal and Doug, friends since they were small children, begin a relationship neither of them could have known how difficult it would be. Dealing with past demons and struggling with drug addiction, Doug loves Crystal with all of his heart, but he is trapped in a never ending battle with his addiction; Crystal and Doug's twin sister, Diana do everything in their power to support and help Doug stay sober but only he can beat the addiction.
When Jonathan, Doug's new friend and Diana's boyfriend comes into the situation things seem to be going well, but the four friends will have to grapple with newfound issues such as ex girlfriends, family intervention and a forbidden, new love.
Crystal never doubted her love for Doug, but love alone is never enough to conquer addiction and the actions of someone trapped in a spiral of self destruction makes it difficult to stay by Doug's side. With Diana and Jonathan at her side, Crystal will have to learn to live her own life and not allow Doug's addiction to destroy them all.
