About the Author
Rev. Ensan is a minister of Won Buddhism-one of Korea's four major religions, offering a modern reinterpretation of traditional Buddhism-and a longtime newspaper columnist.

He majored in political science. Realizing the limitations of politics in truly transforming individuals and society, he chose to leave secular life and dedicate himself to cultivating the mind-the root and foundation of all things.

For over two decades, he has led Dharma services, guided meditation, and written essays that present the Buddha's teachings in a contemporary and practical way across the western United States. He currently teaches Buddhism and meditation at the Won Meditation Center near Los Angeles.
