Irie Girl was made by Kiya Malczewska at 14 years old in 2020 when the world was shut down. Her Caribbean roots and life in Hawaii heavily influences her art and inspired this coloring book. In the Caribbean, irie means good. Her Grandpa, who still lived there, would call her up and ask, "Everyting blessed?", and Kiya would say, "Irie".

This book is a reminder to look at life through the eyes of a child. Numerous illustrations of girls of all types and ethnicities, living their best life and being their true selves, flood the pages.
