Invasion of the Sparkspitters is a story of adventure and humor. Giving information about the parts of a tree, it is an educational, as well as a fun, read for middle grade boys and girls. Norpine Chloroverse, home of the Conifors and the Junquers was always a peaceful place to live, then something went horribly wrong. The fourteen year old Conifor, Phytz, witnessed his friend, Zii being kidnapped by two warriors of the invading Sparkspitters clan. These evil beings were there to steal the resin crops which enabled them to spit balls of fire at their enemies. They also intended to kidnap the young Conifors for slaves and then destroy Norpine Chloroverse. Using auto-transports located in the xylem and phloem of his tree home, Phytz traveled in a frantic search to locate and save his mother and sisters. The Sparkspitters spread far and wide throughout his world. Phytz knew he had to come up with a strategy to save his family and ultimately his world from complete annihilation. Even though he was just a boy he knew he must develop a strategy that would leave no room for luck. Phytz located a virus infected mold and learned by accident that the virus would diminish the Sparkspitters ability to spit balls of fire. With the help of his people and the Junquers, the gray people, they captured the Sparkspitters returning peace to Norpine Chloroverse and its people.
