Intuition and mathematical truth

Henri Poincar radically transformed our entire conception of mathematics. Long regarded as divine entities due to Plato's Pythagoreanism, mathematical truths, with Poincar , ceased to be external to the human mind. For they are mental constructs ultimately based on intuition. From now on, mathematical truths are the product of human activity. The psycho-physiological constructivism underlying this philosophy foreshadows the findings of neuroscience.
