excellent book to show in a most comprehensive form the basic tools of demographic analysis..written by one of the best demographers of the french speaking world...the book contains easy to follow examples of practical demographic problems that can be studied with little mathematical knowledge...it assumes the student wont have much mathematical or statistical background..it is a collection of teaching notes for the Demographic Analysis Course at the Master of Demography at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
