Intuitively, we regard critical-analytical thinking and reasonable argumentation as a cultural achievement. We have to use our critical and argumentative skills when a fact is disputed, i.e. when the validity, correctness or truth of a statement is not evident for ourselves or for different people. The fact that the earth revolves around the sun and not vice versa is for us a simple fact and no longer a controversial question that would have to be argued about (as is well known, this was not always the case, namely at least as long as there were no conclusive astronomicalknowledge templates).
