Mostly what you need to know about feminism...

Introducing Women's Studies : Feminist Theory and Practice, edited by Victoria Robinson and Diane Richardson is the enlarged and revised version of an earlier (1993) publication, also produced with an alternative title in the US.This book should be considered a resource for undergraduates students and the general reader interested in contemporary feminist thinking about a range of social issues including theories of inequality, writing and language, the representation of women, sexuality, violence and male power, science and technology, work, social policy, health, education, marriage and family relationships, reproduction and mothering. Its contributors write consistently well informed articles at an evenly pitched level. Although this revised edition pays more attention to issues beyond the UK and US, it has a northern hemisphere bias that limits its usefulness for gender research more globally.
