Weather is the state of the atmosphere, and is constantly changing due to the day/night transitions, and the effects of the lunar gravity on the oceans. We need good weather forecasts from reasons ranging from grabbing a raincoat, to evacuating a pending disaster. Schools have traditionally participated in a data gathering effort for thr National Weather Service, originally phoning the data back.
